Three Bathrooms

We have finally finished one of our house projects which was getting all the bathrooms patched and decorated. Three bathrooms what a fabulous blessing that came with our house.

P.S. Have you ever noticed how hard it is to take a picture of a bathroom?

FAT FOOT

As the Taffs say go big or go home. I think this might qualify. Check out Matt's latest sports injury. Now three weeks later I think he is almost back to normal.

A Discovery

Okay so this is the last vacation post for a while, I promise.

There are so many little things to discover on a Disney trip and this is one of our discoveries. In California Adventure one of the Disney animators hosts a 30 minute class on how to draw a famous Disney character. (The old school way not computer generation way, obviously). We happened upon the class to draw Mickey and here are the attempts we made.
I think we can tell who has the real artistic talent in the family. I'll stick to spelling.

One more thing . . . Did you know they have a princess beauty shop in Disneyland? You can actually get done up with a tiara and everything.

Suffice it to say the trip was a blast and I love the discoveries we made.

San Diego Zoo

As part of our trip we also enjoyed a visit to the famed San Diego Zoo. Something seems to happen to Matt when he gets a camera in hand at the zoo and so I have only blogged some of my favorites from the massive selection.
Look how cute these guys are.

All I can say about him is what a ham.

I think this my favorite of all the zoo pictures. Sorry to wake you buddy.

Fuzzy wuzzy was a bear and fuzzy wuzzy had tons of hair. This was the only bear we could get to come out while we were there.

We loved the zoo and would highly recommend it if you are ever in the area.

California Adventure

Welcome to CALIFORNIA!

This is our shot from the Tower of Terror. I am a bit afraid of heights and I think I lost about three years of my life on this ride. It was very exciting, but I believe in this picture my eyes are definitely closed.

Who doesn't love an electric parade? These are just a couple of my favorites from the parade.

Disneyland

. . . Returning to the vacation that was over a month ago (I have been on a hiatus due to technical difficulties). The following montage is the Reader's Digest version of the Disneyland portion of the vacation.

Welcome to Disneyland--these flowers are always so well groomed. This is such a great entrance for a theme park.

When you were a kid did you think the castle was humungous? It doesn't quite feel that way as an adult.

Big Thunder Mountain

The Matterhorn. This is my favorite Disneyland ride, a definite classic. Matt loved the Indian Jones ride, which is pretty great too.

The newest ride in Disneyland is the Buzz Lightyear. It is an interactive ride where you actually get to shoot targets and keep score. It is terribly addicting, but the lines are huge. I loved it almost as much as the small kids and the men.

All I can say is nobody throws a party like Disney. This shot doesn't do the fireworks justice. There is something magical about a spectacular fireworks show over the castle. I loved it!
