Bryce Canyon--The Finale

It's hard when you go to a place as scenic as Bryce Canyon to limit the number of pictures. Believe it or not I have only selected a few favorites.

This formation is called the queen. Get a good look because she is already beginning to erode away.

Pierce and Michelle are under that overhang.

I love these last two upward shots. The trees just look so cool against the red rock.

Bryce Canyon Part 2

Here's the next round of shots from Bryce Canyon. Matt and I are the reference point. Look how tall the walls are.
Check out this slot canyon. Michelle and I thought it was awesome, except for the mud we were stepping in.

Look out below. We hiked all the way up from the bottom of these switchbacks to the top, man it was a workout.

Home Away from Home

We stayed in a KOA cabin on our little adventure. I didn't realize how fabulous these things were.
Here's a little shot inside. It also had a set of bunk beds, a desk and chair, pegs to hang your coats, and even a space heater. This is the kind of camping I could get used to.

Did I mention the porch swing? This place was fully loaded. I would highly recommend the KOA cabin. KOA's a pretty great anyway because they usually have a pool, laundry room, and showers that are clean. Love the KOA.

Bryce Canyon

I think these speak for themselves. I will have to post another set because there were so many great pictures.

Mossy Cave

Our ultimate destination for this trip was Bryce Canyon and our first stop was the Mossy Cave Hike.

During the spring the area is still really cold and makes this cool ice cave. When everything thaws supposedly there is tons of moss everywhere.

Weekend Getaway

This past weekend Matt and I went on a trip with our friends the Pierces. We went down to southern Utah and enjoyed the local scenary. On our first stop we were greeted by these guys.
No sheep herd is complete with out the sheep dog. Isn't he cute?

I don't think you can really read the sign, but in Parowan they have a monument for the Petroglyphs that have been preserved.

This shot proves we were there.

This one proves that Michelle and Pierce were there too. FYI: Pierce's first name is Matt, so as long as I've known him I have called him Pierce and now I can't stop.

Brush up your Shakespeare, Start quoting him now

My brother's elementary school did a production of 12th Night. Here he is as Valentine. Is it me or does elementary school seem a bit young for Shakespeare? I'm told the school got a grant for performances, but in order to use the grant the plays had to be Shakespeare.
In the green show Spencer was a juggler and a mighty fine one. He did it while wearing tights which can be hazardous on a gym floor.

The World's Smallest Closet

If you haven't noticed from previous blogs I am obsessed with interior design. I constantly notice the features of the houses I go in. My sister and brother-in-law happen to have the world's smallest closet. What a claim to fame!
Notice the hand as the reference point. I would say it is about two hand widths wides.

It's amazing how much you can still fit inside though.

Matt's Birthday

Happy Birthday to my Honey!
He got a road trip bbq, a bbq tool set (as seen below), and some great cds.

We also enjoyed a great dinner at Outback and a laser show at the Planetarium. Love ya sweetie.
