Matt and his friends went mountain biking to enjoy the Memorial Day Weekend.

Final Soccer Game of the Spring

This year Spencer has had a great time in soccer as number nine on the Aqua Dragons. He has surprised us with how athletic and talented he is. He has done a great job for his team and scored lots of goals. Here's our favorite number nine watching the action.

Modest is Hottest

For a Laurel/MiaMaid activity we took the girls to a local department store and told them to assemble two outfits that they would wear that were completely modest. They first had to find a casual outfit and then a Sunday or dance dress. Here are the girls in their ensembles.
Option 1 casual clothes without too much skin.

Option 2 dressing up for church or a dance without compromising standards.

Roommate BBQ

Baptism

Introducing one of the newest members our ward--Aspen. She is my cute new Beehive who was baptized last month. She is so enthusiastic about the gospel and it is contagious. What fun girl she is. Sisters, sisters there were never such devoted sisters. Here is Aspen and her sister Arianna they were baptized on the same day. We are going to have to wait awile until Arianna is old enough for young women, but we are looking forward to it.

Happy Birthday Matt--so what if it is two and half months later

Contrary to popular belief we are not dead and we have not forgotten how to use a camera or computer. I have no excuses, so here is Matt's birthday from February 27th. He wishes it was the 29th and that it was leap year, but alas he was a year and two days early for that.
At our house we love games. What a great way to spend time together with friends and family and not spend too much money. For Matt's birthday we made several additions to our game closet, including the two below Incan Gold and Canasta. I appreciate Matt's attempts to develop original poses. What can I say he humors my whims for taking pictures.

Last but not least we have Pompeii. Save the people before the lava gets to them!!

• What is his name? Matthew Dean Hansen
• How long have you been together? We've been married almost a year and seven months. I feel like I am a kid again telling everyone I am eight and a half.
• How long did you date? Probably about six months. What can I say we aren't getting any younger.
• How old his he? He's my old man at age 32.
• Who said I love you first? Him.
• Who is taller? Him (6' 2"). In fact, I almost didn't make his cut because I was too short at 5'7".
• Who can sing better? Him. I think I might be tone deaf or at least that is what I say to comfort myself.
• Who is smarter? It depends on the area. I am totally wining in the English realm, but Math, Science, and Computer stuff are not my forte.
• Who does the laundry? Ooo ooo pick me.
• Who pays the bills? I do, but we are both bringing home the bacon and his bacon is bigger.
• Who sleeps in the right side? Me.
• Who mows the lawn? He does, unless he doesn't cut it short enough and then I do it again.
• Who cooks dinner? He does. What can I say I am not very domestic.
• Who drives? Him. I can't stand the stress of driving, plus I have road rage and we don't need that to come out now do we.
• Who is more stubborn? I think its me. I keep telling him I just want to be right. I'm obsessed.
• Who kissed who first? He kissed me.
• Who asked who out first? Well if you want to be technical I think it was me. He was taking Michelle out and she thought he was a great guy, but there was no chemistry for her. Well I couldn't pass up on a great guy so I told her to set us up.
• Who proposed? He did.
• Who has more friends? I think we are pretty even.
• Who is more sensitive? I'm not sure. If you measure by who can produce the most tears then I win.
• Who has more siblings? He's the youngest of 6, so he is the winner.
• Who wears the pants? I am going to be diplomatic here and say we take turns, but I do have to say if the wife isn't happy then no one is. Who doesn't love a good pair of socks? Thanks Grandma!
