Introducing our new daughter Maisy Louise Hansen

Maisy came to us near the end of 2012 through the foster care program and in order to protect her privacy I could not post anything about her until now.  Maisy officially became ours at the end of 2013 and here is the photo montage to show her off.

Well there is the brief summary of everything that has happened in Maisy's life so far.  We feel extremely blessed to have adopted a healthy and beautiful girl.

Mexican Cruise

Last week Matt and I had the chance to go on vacation a Mexican cruise on the Carnival Triumph.  We had two stops: Progreso and Cozumel.

 

These are the salt flats in Progreso.  Apparently the water evaporates away and leaves the salt that they sell to fishermen for preserving their catch.  Unfortunately they can't really compare to the salt flats in Utah.  I was thinking I would see white salt as far as the eye could see, but I was mistaken.

In Progreso we got a chance to see some flamingos in the wild, you need to look close though.

Up next in Progreso was some Mayan ruins or replica ruins if you ask Mandy.

Our next stop was Cozumel.  Here is a little friend we kept watch for all day.

One of the best parts of the cruise was going with some of my college roommates and their husbands.  Here some pictures of us on the formal night.





It was so nice to get away and leave the cold winter weather behind. On our way to and from the cruise we also got the chance to visit one more roommate Jamie (thanks for the place to crash).  Now we are back to the normal routine and missing the sunshine and good friends.

My cousin Megan's Wedding

My cousin got married last weekend in the Brigham City Temple.  Here are some of my favorite pics from the day.

This was a display at the reception that I just loved.  On the top is my Great Grandma and Grandpa Sproul, my Grandma and Grandpa Snow and my parents.  On the bottom is my Aunt and Uncle Diane and Mike Farmer.  The other two are Mike's family pictures.  I thought it was a great way to honor your heritage.

 

 

I loved this as a send off, very cute.

Ellie the dog

Did I tell you I love my dog?  I do.  We just lucked out to get such a sweet dog, with a good temperament who is great with children.  I never thought I would be one of those people who loves her pet like a child, but I am one step away from putting her in my purse and carrying her around.

Happy 4th of July

I just wanted to post something for my favorite holiday, so happy to live in a country with freedoms and opportunity.

Reno, Nevada Temple

We just added another temple to the list of those we visited.

Nate's Wedding

This month we went to Reno, Nevada for a family wedding.  Matt's nephew Nate married McKenzie in the Reno temple.  Here they are coming out of the temple.  I never realized how much weddings make you like the paparazzi.

 

 

 

I only got one shot of Matt, so here he is with his nephew and his niece's daughter.  Its crazy that his niece has a kid almost the same age as my nephew (my sister's baby).
